Rachael is a previous recipient of the GLREF PhD Scholarship who successfully completed her thesis which was awarded in 2014.  She now holds the position of Nurse Senior Research Fellow in CVICU. Rachael has been awarded a 2-year $200,000 Senior Fellowship which will allow her to run a randomised controlled trial to determine if a strategy designed to avoid unnecessary fluid administration to post-operative cardiac surgical patients will reduce their length of stay in the intensive care unit and improve patient-centred outcomes.
