The Fund

Who We Are - Research and Educational Fund

The Green Lane Research and Educational Fund was established in 1971 and originally based at Green Lane Hospital. Its aim is to facilitate research and education for the following five departments:

  • Adult Cardiology
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia/Cardiothoracic and Vascular Intensive Care Unit
  • Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Services
  • Respiratory Medicine

Michael Stubbs – Familial DCM in the New Zealand Cardiac Transplant Population

Dr Stubbs was awarded Limited Budget funding of $20,000 to evaluate and implement a clinical family screening questionnaire to evaluate for familial DCM in the cardiac transplant clinic cohort, which could be implemented as a routine screening toll.
